There are different configurations on how you can pair an iPhone and a GPS like the Garmin Nav IV together and depends on how you want to use those devices with the 20S. Here are some of the different configurations:

    1. iPhone for phone calls and music. GPS for navigation directions.

    2. iPhone for phone calls and music. GPS for navigation directions during intercom communication.

    3. iPhone for phone calls. GPS for navigation directions and music.

    4. iPhone for phone calls. GPS for navigation directions, music, caller ID, and making/answering phone calls.

As I am unable to tell how you want to use an iPhone and a Garmi Nav IV with the 20S, which of these fits your needs?

    Hi

Could you please explain option 4?
And is it possible, iPhone for music and calls, gps for directions, caller id and make/receive calls?

Number 4 is as follows, the Nav IV is considered to be the primary device. In this setup the phone is directly paired to the Nav IV, so that the Nav IV has control over all of the functions of the phone like making calls, answering calls, and the caller ID functionality plus it can play music stored on the Nav IV or through a satellite radio service. You will be able to hear all of the audio from the Nav IV when it is paired and connected to the 20S. The 20S is not connected to the phone at all. The setup would look like this: 20S <--> Nav IV <--> iPhone

"And is it possible, iPhone for music and calls, gps for directions, caller id and make/receive calls?"

Yes it is possible. You would need to pair the phone to the Nav IV directly in the Bluetooth settings under the Phone option. Then pair the Nav IV to the 20S using phone selective pairing. Finally, you would pair the iPhone to the 20S using media selective pairing.

When I do that, phone calls do NOT get to the headset... they stay in the GPS.  Meaning the audio plays through the GPS instead of the Sena.  I followed your instructions (below) and have done this three times already, with the same result.  And I've reset everything between attempts.

Can you PLEASE clarify the steps required in order to be able to have the iPhone paired to the GPS (Garmin Zumo 660) and the GPS to the Sena 20S, so that routing instructions and phone calls go through the GPS to the Sena and phone info (caller id, contact list, etc.) appear on the GPS.  And how to ALSO have the iPhone paired directly to the Sena in order to play music.  Oh yes, and I also want to be able to run the Sena app on the iPhone in order to reprogram my FM station presets (which for some reason I keep clobbering).

And I repeat, I have followed your instructions three times now without success.

    Thank you.

@Eldor: Check the Audio settings (located at the bottom after pressing the Volume icon on the main screen) to make sure that the Zumo 660 is set to output the sound through Bluetooth and not the internal speakers. In any case, here are the following steps:

    iPhone to Zumo 660:

    1. Press the Add button under the Phone option in the Bluetooth settings. Press OK to have the Zumo search for a nearby mobile phone. When the Zumo starts searching for a phone, wait for the Zumo to appear under the list of devices in the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone.

    2. Enter the required passkey on your iPhone to pair with the Zumo. Press the OK button.

    Zumo 660 to Sena 20S:

    1. Press the Add button under the Audio option in the Bluetooth settings. Press OK to have the Zumo search for a nearby Bluetooth headset. When the Zumo starts searching for a Bluetooth headset, place the 20S into Phone Selective Pairing.

    2. To place the 20S into Phone Selective Pairing, hold down the phone button for 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing red and blue rapidly then let go of the phone button. Tap the phone button once while the 20S is flashing red and blue rapidly to change it from Mobile Phone Pairing mode to Phone Selective Pairing mode and the LED will start flashing blue rapidly.

    3. Select the Sena 20S when it appears on the screen of the Zumo and press OK. Then press OK on the Zumo when the Zumo confirms that the headset is connected.

    Sena 20S to iPhone:

    1. On the Sena 20S, place the headset into Media Selective Pairing. To place the 20S into Phone Selective Pairing, hold down the phone button for 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing red and blue rapidly then let go of the phone button. Tap the Jog Dial once while the 20S is flashing red and blue rapidly to change it from Mobile Phone Pairing mode to Media Selective Pairing mode and the LED will start flashing red rapidly.

    2. While the Sena 20S is in Medial Selective Pairing mode, search for the 20S in the list of devices in the Bluetooth menu on the iPhone. When the Sena 20S appears, select to pair the two devices together.

What I want is to connect the 20s, Android Smart phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) and the BMW Navigator V GPS together to allow me to:

Play music from my Android phone and control that music with the 20s (pause, skip FWD/Back)
See calls coming in on my BMW Navigator V GPS.

I do not have the bike equipped Bluetooth, just the BMW Nav V. I’ve used the method above and it has worked a few times, but it always ends up eventually locking my control of the music at the 20s. Meaning I cannot pause or skip the music forward or back. The controls on the 20s don’t do anything.

This usually happens when I’ve shut the bike off and come back later. I’m guessing this means there is some sort of specific shut down or start up sequence? What am I doing wrong? Please help, this is frustrating. I’ve spent hours reading the forums for an answer and I’ve tried numerous different pairing methods with no luck.

Not sure if the original poster has managed to solve his problem in the meantime, but I just wanted to add that I had exactly the same issues. What Sena replied helped me a lot, but still, calls were not coming through to my headset. I changed the setting 'Call Audio Routing' on my iPhone from Automatic to Bluetooth Headset and now everything is working perfectly!

Sena gave a few configurations of connections.
I have the BMW Nav IV and a Android smartphone and would like option  3: Phone for phone calls. GPS for (navigation directions and) music.
How can I do that. I do not have to get directions from the GPS as long as I can play music from it
