Is group Intercom audio Mono or Stereo
We've noticed that when we are using the intercom through a traditional pairing between only two units that the audio quality is really good. I am assuming that this is the HD stereo that they refer to. However, when we add an additional unit to make it a three way intercom or launch a group intercom, the audio becomes much more tinny sounding and we start hearing a ton of static and random noise. Paper flapping in a breeze or popcorn popping etc. Does it make that much of a difference adding one more unit to the mix that they have to "dumb" down the whole system or are we doing something wrong. Here are my parameters:
Unit 1 paired to an Iphone 5
Unit 2 paired to an Iphone 4
Unit 3 paired to an Ipad 2
Does any of this make a difference as well?

Correction - Unit 3 is an Ipad Air

@Bill: When two 20S headsets are connected together over the intercom, the headsets can be set to use UHD Voice Mode where the audio quality is high. When more than two headsets are connected together over the intercom then the headsets automatically change to non-UHD Voice Mode where the audio quality is reduced in order for multiple headsets to communicate with each other and the audio quality staying consistently and not cutting in and out because of how much processing power it takes in the 20S to send a high quality signal over Bluetooth between multiple devices.

What causes the "popcorn" popping noise and the loud static that sometimes has a rhythm like someone playing drums. It happens often, even when the four of us were sitting in a room within 5 feet of each other learning how to use group intercom. Of course, antenna up or down made no difference.
