Record audio from solo ride with 30K and GoPro
Using some mic splitter cables I can record group rides over MESH to my GoPro Hero 5 Session and the quality is really good
However when by myself the audio will not output, simply turning on MESH doesn't work - audio is not output unless I am connected with someone
Sena Dev Team - in the next firmware update, please allow audio to output over MESH when on a solo ride!

If you're using a splitter with the GoPro mic adapter, you'll need a second lavalier mic to pick up your own voice.
This wouldn't be a firmware issue; it's a hardware capability issue with GoPro. That's why we developed the audio pack for the Hero 4 and earlier models. for the models between 5 and 11, splitter cable with second lavalier mic was the requirement and has been used across many moto vloggers.
With the newer GoPro 12, none of this is needed for solo riders. However, MeshPort Red and a mesh intercom will be required for group recording.

Apologies - I said mic splitter - when I meant headphone splitter - I'm using the mic as normal but then splitting the headphone signal between the speakers in my helmet and the GoPro. See in the pic, I'm using the boom mic as normal - but splitting the output.
And using MESH on a group ride - I can record all audio in very high quality - but when riding by myself, even with MESH turned on and Sidetone turned on - the audio will not output. It appears to need at least one other rider connected on MESH before it will output the audio
Fixing this one thing with a firmware update would be a proper game changer for all Motovloggers!

I'm assuming you have a GoPro 12. If so, you can capture your voice for solo riding without using mesh. Just do Bluetooth pairing instead.

I do not - I have a Go Pro Hero 5 Session - and fixing this will sort this issue for all GoPros - not just the 5 - but every GoPro that can accept a mic jack

I have gopro 12 and Sena 50S (1st gen - on 1.3.1 fw). Gopro connects with Sena via gopro pairing mode (there's Sena pairing mode, universal BT device mode, remote, and gopro pairing - latter is used since others don't work). So once I record video, Sena mic is not picked up. Can you do latest video guide, with clear step by step? Or Sena 50S 1st gen simply doesn't work with gopro 12?
