Litany of problems with Sena 10c Pro
Last year Sena sent me a new 10c Pro to replace my previous one which had a fault with the camera. The camera on the new one works as it should, but I am unable to connect to any of my friends Sena devices, which completely negates the point of having an intercom at all. The only thing I can use it for is playing music from my phone and taking video footage. The whole point of having a sena intercom was to be able to connect with my friends so we could chat while riding, something I can no longer do.
I was advised to do a fawcrtoy reset on m,y 10c Pro, which I did, and it didnt fix the problem. I was then advised to reset the bluetooth connection on my phone, I did that, it still doesn't work. I then tried a firmware update using the sena device manager on my MacBook, After some initial problems getting the app to recognise my device, I proceeded to update the firmware on my device from the current v2.0 to the latest one offered on the device manager, v2.7.1. Unfortunately, every time I try to perform the update, it stops at 58% and gives the message 'failed to update firmware. camera firmware update failed'. I have tried countless times now, with 3 different cables, nothing works.
I had some contact with Sena Technical support and while they tried to help, they cleary didnt know what to do to solve the problem, and now they are ignoring my emails asking for help.
Also the iPhone 'Sena Motorcylces' App refuses to acknowledge that my sena 10c pro is connected to my iPhone, even though the connection is visible in the settings menu in my iPhone, and I can play music from Spotify (which is on my phone) through my Sena device.
Sena used to have some great products, but service and quality seems to have really deteriorated rapidly. Reading through the comments on here I can see there are Manuy other people with frustrations at their devices not working properly. Im sorry to see there are so many frustrated customers in a similar position to me.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get this thing to work properly?
