SPH-10 won't power on.
One of our SPH-10's (we've only used them 10 or 12 times) suddenly won't power on. Occasionally, it will power on for a couple of seconds but then turns off. When plugged in, it goes from red to blue but still won't turn on. The instructions show a reset button which can be pushed with a paper clip but after removing the ear covers, there does not appear to be any such button in the location shown. I tried connecting it to my computer but it won't recognize them without being turned on. I was once able to have it power on while trying to "recognize" and it did see them and got the firmware version (5.1.??? I think). Anything else I can try? Is there a reset button somewhere?

Hello,
You were correct to try the fault reset, but that is the only hardware reset button available on the device. The most recent firmware update addressed battery-related issues caused by incorrectly written code regarding the LiPo battery size—meaning affected devices would power off fore example: after 30 minutes instead of 8 hours because the firmware incorrectly recognized only 30 minutes of battery life. However, in your case, this appears to be a hardware-related issue since the device no longer holds a charge or powers on.
Based on what you described, this seems to be a battery issue. Since you've only used the unit 10-12 times, the battery may have deteriorated due to prolonged periods of constant charging or being in a 0-energy state. Unfortunately, LiPo batteries degrade over time, especially if left with 0 charge for long periods, which can cause the internal cells to dry out which also happens when left on a charger for long periods of time.
We can proceed with a warranty claim if the product is still within its 2 or 3-year warranty, depending on the model. Please submit a ticket here to initiate the process:
