During my experience of using SENA intercoms, word clipping, distortion and dropped calls were caused by a folded antenna on one of the intercoms. Both intercoms must have a raised antenna.

Hi Rafal, thanks for trying to help. The intercoms that are fitted to our Schuberth helmets have internal aerials under the padding that don't fold.

One more thing you can check:

restart mesh on both devices. Sometimes the Sena ST1 had this affliction that it would break the connection, after a reset it would fix itself.

You can even reset the device to factory settings if the antenna prolbemy is not confirmed.
PS. My previous comment is awaiting approval, so don't be surprised if it appears :)

I did reset to factory settings when I had issues trying to pair the intercoms which turned out to be bad instructions. I don't know if there are any settings that may help?
