Just set up SMH5 and voice activation does not work even if I scream into the Mic. Sena told me to pair with another phone to see if it worked and it didn't. Then they told me to downgrade the firmware to an older version 2.1.1 and that didn't work either. Seems somewhat counter productive to have to lift a hand off your handlebar to answer a phone call.

You can also answer a phone call by blowing into the microphone. Also, make sure that the microphone is pointed in the proper direction and that the VOX Phone setting is enabled.

No you cannot. I have done everything your tech dept told me to do. I blow on it, screamed at it and it simply does not work. Should have bought a Cardo Pack Talk Slim even at the higher price point because their voice activation actually works. To me this is the most important feature for these devices oriented toward motorcycles. If you look at all the discussions on the internet about this problem its obvious Sena has a problem on this SMH5 model relative to voice activation. I was told my problem is being escalated to Tier 2. Really? What will that resolve if there is an inherent problem?
