Ambient mode is a good idea and at least it cuts your riding companions out so they don't talk over someone outside your connected group, but the microphone doesn't really pick up and transmit that voice to the speakers.  Yes I can hear whenever I touch the microphone, but it is really useless at picking up any external voices.  I suggest you allow a significant amplification of the sound from this mic and add serious noise cancellation to eliminate touch sounds to make it actually work "as advertised by Sena".  The YouTube video below demonstrates the deficiencies.
