We have a group of about 8 riders all with 50S headsets and really like the mesh intercom. Works VERY WELL.
One rider has a Harley with the WHIM module installed and paired to the 50S. The link to the bike works fine except as soon as it links up, the 50S shuts off Mesh intercom and is disconnected from the group.
How do we get the 50S to connect to the Harley as a wireless headset AND use mesh intercom at the same time?
I had the same problem I had a Harely Branded 30k And It Will Not Connect With any Headset Via Mesh After Some Research the Harley 30k Uses Mesh v2.2 While All Other Sena Headsets Upgraded To Mesh v3.0.1 and Harley will Not Upgrade Their Headsets So.... Here are I go and Purchased a New Sena 50S (Non Branded Harley) it Connects To The Harley WHIM Module With No Problems But Mesh Will Not Work I Had Enough With the Harley WHIM Module And I Install a Sena Freewire Instead Problem Solve....
I bought the duo 50s (not Harley branded) headsets. Trying to use without WHIM or Freewire with google assistant commands rather than pairing with my Boombox GTS. Didn't know this unbranded headset will pair with a Harley WHIM so good to know. The issue I'm having is that the volume for music is barely audible at max volume. I've seen this is an issue with others but haven't seen a fix or Sena response to the issue. this is a dealbreaker for me and unless there's a fix I will have to return these. Anyone have this issue and have a fix? I have phone at max volume and 50s at max volume. Ive changed the equalizer to different settings with no change. If I use other bluetooth headphones at max volume my music is deafeningly loud so this is the 50s at issue.
Did any of you figure this out? I have both the 30k and the 50s and neither will go into mesh when paired with the bike. Has Sena said anything? It would make sense the mesh should work because it pairs with the bike by blue tooth and the phone is hard wired to the bike so the mesh channel should be open???
I sold my non harley 50s and I purchased the harley branded 50s and it woks fine I connected it the the whim and mesh does work I guess problem solve.
Have the Harley Branded 50s connected to a WHIM. I cannot hear audio when connected to mesh and after sometime is loses bluetooth connection to phone and will not stay connected to phone and Boom GTS. Any suggestions or fixes? I have updated the firmware recently.
Louis DelGiudice THere was no update for the harley-branded 50S model until today (update from 1.0 to 1.0.1) Those that are on a 2.XX firmware are a different model thats not updated at all yet, Only accessible via the harley version of the firmware update app though, its not on the main update list (if you wonder how i know: i got some monitoring for that that notifies me when any firmware gets updated).
