SRL-01 won't start and won't reset
I'm waiting on Sena to reply, but my SRL-01 that is brand new won't start when I push the + and - signs. I have also tried the paperclip tip but without being able to turn it on I'm not sure that does anything. Any tip or tricks others have seen work?

I should add it will charge, and the light changes to blue. I was also able to upgrade the firmware after it wouldn't start.

My SRL 2 won't turn off and the reset doesn't work, in fact, I think it was that which caused the lock up. This has happened twice now...the first time I just waited for a few days and it seemed to clear and has been working properly ever since, about a year. However, when I tried to update the firmware, I lost the voice recognition and intercom connections, which is why I tried to factory/fault reset. I seem to just go around in circles and I'm sorry I bought the damn thing. Shoei must be pissed off with Sena for putting a problematic product (as evidenced in the damaging reviews) in a superior helmet. I bet they don't do it again.

My SLR2 won't reliably turn on. I bought it 7 months ago. After charging it wouldn't start. If I fiddled with the buttons, plugged the charger in/out I might get lucky and get it to switch on. I returned this to Sena, who repaired it. It was fine for a month, and now it is doing the same thing again.
This is just unacceptable for £250 worth of kit!

I bought an SRL-02 in August and on its 3rd use, I was unable to turn the unit off. I then resorted it using the reset button to turn it off and now I can’t turn it back on or get it to charge. I am waiting to hear back from Sena having reported the problem yesterday (when the problem occurred)…

Check for a reset button: Some devices have a separate reset button that you can press to reset the device. Look for a small button or hole labeled "reset" on the device.

Old news I am afraid. You are right about the rest button, but that did not work.
Since I posted my original request for help Sena has replaced two units which I had purchased at different times and locations. Which does not look good for reliability of their units!
