Sena Impulse charging and maybe firmware issue
I've had a Sena Impulse for about 2 years now and about 6 months ago it started having issues with charging and, I would guess, firmware issues. When I charge the helmet from any source, I have to reset the helmet (hold down the top 3 buttons until the light turns white) to get it to do anything. I can then use it normally. Now, however, I suspect it's not charging properly as I used it today for about 1.5 hours and it started telling me low battery. I used to get 6-7 hours out of it. I have tried factory resetting it, but it didn't change anything. I suspect a bad firmware, but as it seems to lock up before it can update any firmware, I'm at a loss. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Here to add that I also noticed a weaker battery after the latest update.
It seems to be lasting less or charging less.0 -

This sounds frustrating, especially after two years of normal use. The constant need to reset before charging or powering on points to a deeper firmware or battery issue. The sudden drop from several hours of runtime to barely 1.5 hours also suggests the battery may be failing. If the unit freezes before firmware updates, it becomes even harder to troubleshoot on your own. Reaching out to Sena support or checking if the battery can be replaced might be the best next step.

Charging lockups on smart helmets are sometimes linked to power management issues rather than firmware alone. A weak battery can cause the system to freeze during startup or charging cycles.
