NEW FIRMWARE 50 S 1.1
New firmware for 50s dated 1 19 2022 version 1.1. I have latest device manager 4.3 and when i directly plug in my 50s to my laptop to update firmware it shows my firmware as 1.09 and the latest version available as same as 1.09 there is no version 1.1 shown. I am using the usb c cable not wifi cable and direct to lap top. anyone been able to update there firmware to version 1.1

Ralf, The 50S seems to work ok but you have to turn on Bluetooth Intercom Audio Multitasking in the Sena Bluetooth Device Manager or phone app so the phone calls will pass to the 50S per above.

It seems there is a v2.0 for 50s (not for 50r) according to Tom Görner files. Hope it fixes most of the big problems and there is a 2.0 for 50r as well soon.

Wow its true Ignacio Z the problem here is that we dont know what should fix this 2.0 firmware version and Sena is not publishing anymore the firmware release notes. At the momento i dont have my 50s to try because both was sent to a replace RMA for a factory defect. do you know if this 2.0 firmware versiones is released via device manager too or only via Tom Gorner Files?

2.0 is a entirely different hardware revision. Separate entry in the Index file and the mesh portion looks different

Apparently my Sena 50s have different chips. Because a "Harmon Kardon Micro" is displayed.

Fellas 1.09 is a super stable firmware. I got the best performance ever with my 50s on 1.09. I had a chance to sell my 50s so I did and purchased the new 50s with hk speakers and mic. It is a little bit better sounding but was pretty good before. I bought it for the upgraded mic. The new mic is very sensitive so voice control always works but the mesh mode is picking up wind like crazy, no way to listen to music and be in mesh mode. Its open mic all the time and I have a rpha 90s carbon helmet, tested as the most quiet modular available. So keep your older 50s and stay on 1.09 until sena sorts out the issue.

There is no need to enable multitascking.The "HD Voice" option must be disabled. Only this.. The option " HD Intercom" Can be enabled. Sena says HD Voice is not supported by BMW TFT and ZUMO XT or BMW VI.
My firmware 50S is 1.0.9.
Pairing :
1) Iphone to TFT . Share contacts.
2) TFT to Sena 50S. First telephone
3) Sena 50S to GPS. GPS profile
4) Iphone to GPS. Don't share contacts
It works fairly well. I am afraid the update.

Raf, That is an interesting find. I have not seen "Sena says HD Voice is not supported by BMW TFT and ZUMO XT or BMW VI." anywhere on the website or here until now. I am using version 1.1.
I will try it and advise.

In my Italian language the function " Voice Command" works in a strange way:Play Music “Hey Sena, Play Music” = Not work ,“Hey Sena, Stop Music” = Work . ; RADIO Turn on FM radio ”Hey Sena, FM Radio On” = Not work , ”Hey Sena, FM Radio Off” = Work ; Volume Up “Hey Sena, Volume Up” and Volume Down “Hey Sena, Volume Down” = Work
Siri does not work, but this I think is a problem of TFT

Hi all, hope this tip helps.
with no doubt, the best firmware version with TFT and Navigator VI is 1.0.7. Everything works great HD voice included.
I have definitely downgraded to 1.0.7 again and I have no intention to do any other upgrade until I know for sure that it is really an improvement. So, if you have the chance to set firmware 1.0.7, I highly recommend this option.

I have version 1.0.9.. I feel pretty good. Excluding HD voice function.
Can someone willing explain how to downgrade?
And where to find the previous versions ?

Thats for a different Hardware revision. It wont be accepted by the 1.XX revision.

I'm trying to update my 50S to 1.1
I'm using the Windows Sena Device Manager which detects my Sena is using 1.09 and offers to upgrade to 1.1
The upgrade file downloads, the upgrade starts and then at about 69% it moves straight to 100% says the update is complete and then goes back to saying "New firmware is available would you like tp update to it?". The device manager shows the device is sill using 1.09.

Also - when I use the Sena app on my phone it shows my 50S as having firmware 1.09 If I check for updates, I see a message "Latest Firmware installed" ... seems to be inconsistent in terms of what is the latest version ? 1.09 or 1.1 ?
Do I need to upgrade?0 -
FYI - Just noticed 1.1.1 is available - attempting to upgrade to this firmware fails as well.

I've started a return for my faulty v1 device and have already bought a replacement v2 device.

Be careful and be sure you want the new firmware. I believe that V2 devices cannot be taken back to earlier firmware. This is what I was told by SENA in Sept 21.

V2 devices are a entirely different hardware revision. Firmware files show a different USB Device ID and a few other parts are different, too.

@Tom Görner, Exactly, that doesn't change what I said. If you look back you will see that several users, including me, have had to go back to older firmware to get this v1 device to work in a way that is expected. You can't do that with V2 hardware. What do you do when SENA get the release wrong? Wait months for a solution, with no way to go back to something that works.

@Tom Görner, I see a version 1.1.1 on the Bluetooth Device Manager. I do not see any description of what changes were made. Do you know what changes may have been made in this revision?

I withdrew my new BMW R1250 Gs TFT SW Version 022_008_020. On my 50S I have firmware 1.0.9.My configuration :1) Iphone to TFT . Share contacts.2) TFT to Sena 50S. Second telephone3) Sena 50S to GPS. GPS profile4) Iphone to GPS Zumo XT. Don't share contactsWith my previous bike everything worked fine. But now I have a big problem: If I connect the Zumo the 50S is disconnected from the TFT. If I turn off the XT the 50S connects to the TFT.Can I fix it with the update?Are there any workarounds? Can Sena technical support, who intervened in this discussion, give me a solution?0
