Replace battery in the sena cavary helmet
-
I hope this message reaches you in time, even though it's been two years. I encountered the same issue as you and found no solutions online. After reading your comment, I decided to take matters into my own hands. In the worst-case scenario, I was prepared to buy a new helmet. However, I discovered that the battery can be replaced, although it requires removing the inner foam cushioning of the helmet, which is challenging due to being glued in place. The battery itself is labeled as -XK 752439 170210 +650mAh 3.7V2.4Wh and is attached to the back portion of the foam insert. I found a replacement on Amazon.

What tool , or method did you use to break the glue free from the inner shell?
Thanks

I used a pry device to softly make room to get my fingers between the foam and the shell. Then I gently twisted and pulled until it came out. The glue is on there pretty good.

Thanks! I did the same and the styrofoam popped right out.
Removed all of the Sena device components and replaced with a Cardo Edge in its place. Wife wanted her JBL speakers in hers and I opted for earbuds. Wow! What a difference!
Sure wish Sena had placed an ear bud jack there and easily replaceable battery when manufactured.
Guess I now have 2 Cardo Cavalry’s, that should give us many more years of service now.

Hey Mark Harrison,
Reading your post, did you actually change the speakers in your wife's helmet? If so, how hard was it?
I love my Sena cavalry helmet!
