SRL-Mesh Double beep caused by wind noise

Looking at the posts on other models it seems the double beep caused by wind noise is quite common. I'm wondering if it's part of the Sena's tool set for testing. It's like the double beep is to confirm the mic is working. 

At high speeds it does it about once a minute. I can manually cause it simply by blowing on the mic.

I've unpaired and repaired by phone and satnav and that didn't resolve it even after rebooting etc. I had to factory reset.

The question is why does it happen? I wonder if there's some engineer key strokes to activate it that we're all inadvertently doing?!?!

  I read something about activating the mic in groupchats by blowing against it. Look in the manual if you find something
