More Volume for riding with ear plugs

I've read the other threads covering this issue, but I haven't seen it really addressed.

I ride with ear plugs and an HJC RPHA-10 helmet, which has flaps that cover the ear pockets. Anything over 50 mph makes the SMH10 almost completely inaudible.

I've updated to 4.2 and still no luck. Has anything been done to address riding with ear plugs? Am I missing something?

  I have had to go the route of using the iPlugz type earplugs with my Sena unit for the same reason.  Otherwise the volume was too low for me to hear clearly with my earplugs in.
