Sena 50s, iphone 13 and B-Tech GMRS radio
I posted this in General Discussion, but there doesn't seem to be much activity over there. Here goes:
I'm having an "interesting" issue. Sena 50s firmware v2.4, iPhone 13 and a B-Tech GMRS radio. Phone is connected as phone 1, radio is connected as device via BT.
When I first power up the Sena, it connects seamlessly to both devices. I can make calls, listen to music from the phone, etc. However, as soon as I receive or make a transmission on the GMRS radio, I lose the music until I cycle the radio off and then back on. I've waited as long as 10 minutes for the music to come back to no avail. Of interest is that if I watch the music player on the phone, as soon as the radio either transmits or receives a signal, the music is paused on the music app. Pushing the play button does no good to restore the music until I cycle the radio off/on. Same thing is true if I am listening to Sirus XM on the phone. It is as if the Sena does not "release" the radio connection until the radio is cycled.
Bluetooth Intercom Audio Multitasking is enabled; HD Intercom and HD Voice are disabled as is Sidetone, Audio Overlay Volume Management is enabled.
Any thoughts?

HD intercom/voice wouldn't affect this, so you can re-enable that. It's only affected when there are more than 2 users in the intercom conversation.
There are priorities that the device follows: Phone is priority number 1 and music is last on the priority list, so it will be overwritten.
That largely explains why you're losing music, as when you're using the radio, it uses the phone portion of the Bluetooth profile to communicate, and it basically thinks it's still fully active and doesn't "hang up" the call.
This is not an intended feature of the 50S to work with CV radios in this manner.
