Using Bluetooth Microphone While Using Other Manufacturer Bluetooth Earphones?
Hi! I have my own high-fidelity bluetooth earphones that I use for working out and while riding my motorocycle. I like them because they sound great, fit well, and also keep wind noise at bay. I commute most days on my motorcycle and have started taking longer rides and now want to have the ability to make phone calls and have voice commands with my iPhone while riding. So, I'm searching for a bluetooth microphone for my helmet - but, I am hoping to be able to still use my bluetooth earphones. Is this possible? Can I use a Sena bluetooth microphone with my iPhone while still using my current bluetooth earphones? Possible?

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking whether it's possible to use your existing Bluetooth earphones while simultaneously connecting a Sena Bluetooth microphone to your iPhone.
Unfortunately, in most cases, this is not possible. iPhones typically support only one active Bluetooth audio connection at a time. While some Android devices allow two separate Bluetooth connections (via features like Dual Audio), iPhones do not support this functionality natively.
One potential workaround could be to use a Bluetooth dongle connected to the aux port of the Sena clamp. In this setup, your Sena would be paired with your phone for the microphone, but your earphones would still connect through the dongle. However, this would likely disable the Sena’s mic functionality, meaning you'd still need to rely on the Sena microphone on your helmet for communication.
In summary, it may not fully meet your expectations due to these technical limitations.

Yes, it’s possible, but it depends on how your devices handle Bluetooth connections. Most smartphones, including iPhones, only support one active Bluetooth audio profile at a time (like A2DP for audio or HFP for calls). However, some Bluetooth systems, like the Sena 10S or 50R, can pair with external earbuds through an AUX port or multipoint pairing, allowing you to use your earphones while benefiting from the helmet mic for calls and voice commands. Check if your Sena model supports this kind of dual connectivity, and you should be able to enjoy both your earphones and the microphone seamlessly!

Hi Dan! Yes, you can use a Bluetooth microphone with your iPhone while still using your earphones, but check if your earphones support dual connections. Some Bluetooth mics, like Sena, can pair with your phone independently, but compatibility may vary. You might also consider a Bluetooth adapter if needed. Happy riding!

Yes, you can use a Bluetooth microphone with different brand Bluetooth earphones, but compatibility depends on the devices supporting simultaneous multi-device connections
