Upgrading to the Sena 60S is a great choice, offering improved intercom range, updated Mesh 3.0 technology, and enhanced audio quality with new Harman Kardon speakers. However, the Arai RX-7X helmet may not perfectly fit the standard clamp mount of the 60S without adjustments. For a more seamless integration, you might consider a system specifically designed for Arai helmets, which would ensure optimal compatibility and performance.

    Dear Jiso,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Sena 60S and its suitability for the Arai RX-7X helmet. I’m glad to provide guidance and help you make an informed decision.

Sena 60S and Arai RX-7X Compatibility

The Sena 60S is a versatile and advanced communication system, and it should be compatible with most full-face helmets, including the Arai RX-7X. However, there are a few considerations to keep in mind:

    1. Helmet Design:

      • The Arai RX-7X is a high-performance racing helmet designed with aerodynamic and safety features. Its snug fit and limited space for accessories might require careful installation of the Sena 60S.
    2. Speaker Installation:

      • The RX-7X may have recessed ear pockets for speaker placement. Check that the 60S speakers fit snugly into these pockets without causing discomfort.
      • If the speakers sit too far from your ears, consider using foam spacers to bring them closer for better sound quality.
    3. Clamp Mounting:

      • The Sena 60S uses a clamp or adhesive mount for installation. Depending on the RX-7X’s edge design, the adhesive mount may be a more secure and streamlined option.
    4. Microphone Type:

      • Ensure the boom or wired microphone provided with the 60S can be positioned effectively within the RX-7X. The tight fit of racing helmets can sometimes make boom microphones challenging to use.

Advantages of Upgrading to Sena 60S

    • Improved Features: Compared to the 50S, the 60S offers upgrades like enhanced audio quality, improved noise control, and better Mesh 2.0 connectivity for group communication.
    • Durability: It is well-suited for all-weather conditions, an excellent match for performance helmets like the RX-7X.

I have a Schuberth 10UA Bluetooth Headset I bought in May, it appears you don't  offer that model anymore. I was wondering if my units software can be upgraded with the Sena 60 features?
