I tested the Wave app with my SRL2. It connected (via the on-screen button) but I haven't tested it yet with another rider. To make the app work, I think you might need to have at least firmware 1.0.8 if not 1.0.9 (latest as of April 2024).

Thanks, I have an SRL2 in another helmet. It doesn't have Mesh. I'm wanting to utilize the Wave to Mesh functionality.

The SRL2 Mesh is a different communicator. That is the one that I'm wondering/suggesting about.

Brian, I have the SRL3 and tried the Wave app with my friend that has the Sena 50c. We were able to connect and I could hear him talking clearly but when I talk to my friend he said it’s all statically and broken up. Btw his unit show an update for the wave. Not sure if he has it though.

I also have the SRL2 without Mesh with my SRL3. But unfortunately only have one phone. I wonder if it would connect both unit to the same phone lol.

Wave intercom does not provide mesh capability to non-mesh headsets like the SRL-2.

Wave intercom is a cellular based intercom that uses mesh intercom as a back up.   Wave is not a back up to mesh.

    See diagram below

To use mesh with an SRL-2, you will need to add a +Mesh adapter.  It works well with the SRL-2. That is what I used till I upgraded to the SRL-Mesh headset.

Richard, I have both the SRL2 and SRL2 Mesh. It is the SRL2 Mesh that I was inquiring about.

Thanks Brian. Guess I got confused by SRL “2” Mesh thinking you meant the SRL-2. It actually is just SRL Mesh, no 2. https://www.sena.com/en-us/product/motorcycling/motorcycling-communication/srl-series/. Wave intercom and Mesh 3.0 has been integrated into the SRL Mesh with the latest firmware update. Was trying Wave out today with my SRL Mesh and a 60S. Not impressed with the quality.
