10C Pro video capture completely unreliable
I have a 10c Pro w/latest firmware. Each day, at least one of my video recording sessions fails without any indication. I first turn on the camera. Then press again until I get "camera recording." When I complete the ride, I stop the recording before shutting down.
I will arrive home and look for that video off my micro SD card. Nothing. No file. Generally, it will capture only 1 video from a two-way commute. I mostly use the camera for accidents/insurance.
It is not in tagging or loop mode, and no settings have been changed from date of purchase. It was pretty reliable about a month ago.
Have you experienced this? Any advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I can understand your frustration with the 10C Pro’s reliability; it’s essential for capturing important moments. It might be worth checking if your micro SD card is functioning properly, as sometimes the issue can stem from the storage device. For editing any videos you do manage to capture, have you considered using a capcut template ical ar? It could help enhance the footage you get. Hope you find a solution soon!

It sounds like you're having trouble with your GoPro 10c Pro where recordings are missing, even though you're following the usual procedure. While this might be frustrating, there are a few things to check:
-
SD Card Issues: Sometimes, an SD card with low speed or not enough available space can cause issues with recording. Try using a high-quality, high-speed microSD card and check if the problem persists. You might also want to reformat the SD card before using it again.
-
Firmware Update: Although you mentioned you're on the latest firmware, double-check that everything is up to date. Sometimes, even minor firmware issues can cause erratic behavior.
-
Battery or Power Interruptions: Ensure your battery is charged fully before recording. A sudden loss of power or low battery can cause files not to save properly.
-
File Recovery Software: If you’re not able to find the videos, there are some file recovery apps that might help retrieve them, but it depends on whether the data was partially overwritten.
Additionally, if you're into editing, apps like CapCut might be useful for enhancing your video footage once you successfully retrieve it. CapCut can handle 4K videos and lets you add overlays like speed and G-force data—perfect for documenting accidents or incidents for insurance purposes.
