Sena Utility App support for Bluetooth 3.0 devices, especially SMH10R
My SMH10R is less than 2 years old.
I understand from your support@senabluetooth.zendesk.com that the Sena Utility App currently only works with Bluetooth 4.0 devices.
It would be really nice to know that Sena is a company that does not quickly abandon their products, especially when less than 2 years old.
Do you have a plan to update (or build a different version) of the Sena Utility App to support SMH10R bluetooth 3.0 devices?
If yes, when?
If no, Is it typical that Sena this quickly abandons technology?

Hello. The SMH10R has been available for purchase for more than 2 years. As a matter of fact, the SMH10R has been available on the market for over 6 years. Furthermore, the SMH10R is not compatible with the Sena Utility App because it uses Bluetooth 3.0. The Sena Utility App is only compatible with Sena headsets that use Bluetooth 4.0 or above because of a Bluetooth feature called Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). BLE is necessary for a Bluetooth headset so that it can communicate with a phone app to transmit data back and forth to make changes on the device. This feature was introduced in Bluetooth 4.0 and cannot be added to Bluetooth 3.0 devices.
