Serious battery drain using wave app

Not sure if a bug or what,but noted the other day went on a long ride and had wave app running.s24ultra full charge I can normally go 2 days between charges with all day use. 2 hours into our ride we stopped and both our phones had 8% battery left,had left home fully charged.that is very very heavy battery use. Probably something that should be looked into

  This is normal for this app, and not acceptable IMO.
