Sena 50S pairing
So I purchased my Sena 50s back in April 2025. I received the device and fitted it to my helmet and connected to my phone. I used it on the day of fitting and everything worked fine. The next time I tried to use it the device wouldn't connect to my phone. Preformed a factory reset still would not connect and was not visible on my phone or another phone. Carried out a hardware reset using the little button on the back and still wouldn't connect. Carried out a firmware update using sena device manager on my laptop and the device connects. Next time I tried to use the 50s it wouldn't connect again. so I carried out a firmware update however this time I did it without carrying out either of the resets and the device connects straight away.
So I opened a return with the retailer who asked me to remove all the components and sent it back which left me without a headset for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks it was returned and the Sena technician couldn't find anything wrong with it.
First time I switched it on after return it paired straight away, used it all day and then the following day it wouldn't connect again. Carried out a firmware update using the Sena device manager and the phone connected straight away.
Is this normal to have to do a firmware update every time you want to go for a ride?
