i had a similar issue with my SRL, for me it turned out that connecting to a usb 3 port was the cause, using a usb2 port allowed me to upgrade without problems.

yes, i find in all cases the usb C connecter more user friendly, but especially in these BT com sets (i have experienced a few) micro usb is a pain in the butt.

if they say take it back then indeed take it back :) its a nice unit though, i hope you get a new one and can enjoy it soon!

you have no sound at all or just static? are your radio stations still visible in the app? did you try cycling through the stations when FM radio was on? (press center button 1-2 second)
