Hi Daniel, The Phantom series and Specter are both mesh-only helmets.  So while they do have bluetooth connectivity, they do not have bluetooth intercom, which is where the universal intercom works...

It is a hardware issue, unfortunately.  The bluetooth intercom requires a separate chip from bluetooth connectivity, which the Phantom does not have.  So firmware updates couldn't help there.
