Freewire Auto On/Off
There's a blurb in the manual that the Freewire will turn on and off with the ignition when plugged into the lighter outlet. So far as I can tell, this is not true.
I've tried it with the Freewire's physical switch in the ON position and it never turns off with the bike.

I've waited up to 5 minutes trying each way for the thing to switch on or off and I've tried multiple times.
Doesn't work.

Hello,
You have to use the cigarette charger that came with the Freewire. This charger works with the bike's ignition.

I am. It's hardwired to the cigarette charger and I doubt anything else in my house has that tiny a round plug. It's literally impossible to use any other charger.
(edit) just looked closer. Yes, it also says SENA on the side of the plug that goes into the Freewire.
Any other suggestions?

Check the cig charger's fuse. You can unscrew the tip of the charger (the end that plugs in to your bike).

I did that when I checked for the name. The whisker wire inside is whole. Yeah, I know what a burnt fuse looks like. This one's good.

I've used that plug to inflate the tires and it does work, on with ignition/radio, off when bike is off.

I just used the sena bluetooth manager to restore the firmware and tried it again. Doesn't work on either plug, same as before.

Well good news. After the about 5th time of factory reset with pushing the reset button with a paper clip AND updating the firmware 3-4 times, the auto on/off seems to have decided to start working. I guess it's fixed but I no longer trust this freewire.
