HD 2-20S w/passenger - 1 Freewire config
I have a Freewire for me, my wife wants to listen to her own music and answer her own phone, but we still want to com between us.
I link my phone & Freewire into the Infotainment system, then CB, phone, music, XM & NAV should work using the Freewire, right.
Can we then use the 20s to com between us without problems? Will she be able to link her phone to her 20s for both her music and phone use?
- Dave
She doesn't want to hear CB chatter, and has completely different taste in music.

I'm guessing she is not plugged into the bike at all. If she's not, she won't hear anything the bike has to say. She will be linked to her own phone and listen to whatever the heck she wants. Hit the intercom button and you'll be able to talk until one of you hits the intercom button again.

My situation is the opposite...... if we have 2 20s & 1 freewire can we both hear XM radio

Dorothee, no you can't, you need a 2nd Freewire for the passenger to hear anything from the bike. Then the issue is they are kind of tied together.

David; my situation is just like Dorothiee's: that's the most OBSCENE thing I've ever heard.
I spent $250 for this Freewire so that I can be wireless and it ONLY works on 1 headset? I'd have to spend another $250 for my passenger to hear what I'm hearing?IN-F**^IN'-SANE

Tridandroid - I have a 50S with Freewire and expected the system to work as you described. Unfortunately it does not. Should it? Do I have defective units? I've recently updated to latest firmware (Yes, I know this is a 4 year old post).
Thanks

I'm not sure how the 50S works. Ignoring the bike part, if both of you have sync'd, if you press the intercom button, can you talk helmet to helmet?
To be quite honest, I'm not sure what problem you're having. How does it not work? How do you have them set up?0 -
Thanks for your response. Originally, we just had the 50S connected to each other and mine paired to my phone (wife had hers paired to her phone so she can listen to her music, just like the original post above). I got a Freewire to connect myself to the Goldwing (2001) CB. The Freewire is connected to one of the 50S units as a second phone (I think that's what is recommended). Typically as soon as the Freewire turns on, it completely negates the connection between the two 50S units. When I'm connected to the freewire, the 50S fails to "find" the other 50S when I tap the large wheel button. It also overrides my ability to utilize the phone to 50S bluetooth for music, etc. The 50S does work to go directly to my phone when the phone rings and / or when I tap the phone button to activate voice dialing, etc.
I would like to be able to switch between talking to my wife on the intercom of the 50S and using the bike CB by tapping the 50S to toggle between the intercom links between two 50S to disconnect or reconnect. Right now, I either have to have the Freewire ON to use the CB, or OFF to utilize 50S to 50S communication.
Thanks for your input.

I honestly don't know. That sounds wrong but I don't know the 50 at all.
