Delete the app from the phone then download the most recent version from the app store.  I had this same problem and it fixed it.

    Can you elaborate on unsuccessful?

You may be doing the pairing incorrectly. You have to hold the smaller button on the 20S for about 6 seconds until you hear it says "Phone pairing" and the LED will flash blue and red back and forth.

If still not working, delete all the Bluetooth listed on your phone.

    Also try rebooting the phone.

Same thing is happening to me, I reverted back to v1.6.3 did a reset on the headset. turned off my phone made sure no devices were paired via bluetooth. Turned bluetooth on and off on my phone. Half the time the phone won't even pick up the sena 20s for me to try to select it, when it does show under devices it says "pairing unsuccesful", if it does connect my headset still beeps like it isnt connected. then on my phone the sena disconnects. I had it connected tried to play music and it disconnected. I can't figure out what this thing is doing but my phone connects to other bluetooth devices so it has to be the sena.

What is wrong? It is telling me "Paring Unsuccessful"Sena 20Sv1.6.3 is not supported" It was working fine until I push the forget button and now this what it tells me. I have turned my phone off, I have uninstall and reinstalled Sena on my phone .

Delete any Sena pairing that is on the bluetooth list on the iphone first then attempt to re-pair.  Having two or more Sena devices on your pairing list can cause the phone to not pair successfully, especially if you reverted back to earlier firmware.  Current firmware is 1.7.5.  You need to download the current device manager to upgrade.

Open settings on your iPhone.  Select bluetooth. There is a pairing list of devices under my devices.  Tap the blue "i" next to the sena device that is on the phone.  It will take you to a new window which says "forget this device"  Tap it and it will remove the pairing.

Go to the Sena website.  Under "support" register your unit if you haven't already done so.  Then go back to "support" and select "software"  download the latest device manager for the type of computer you own.  After that open the device manager and follow the instructions to update your headset.

Once that is done do a factory reset per the instructions in the 20s manual.

Now you can go through the pairing process for your iPhone per the instructions in the manual.  It should all go smoothly.

My new Sena 20s EVO will not connect to my Samsung smartphone.

When trying to pair, I shows the Sena 1.7.5 on the phone, but will not pair.

I get the "Pairing unsuccessful" message.

I had the same problem...I was using the pairing method to pair to other SENA's - not to a phone.  To pair to a phone you need to press and hold the small rubber button on the back of the headset - not the large jog button.  After holding that for about 5-6 seconds, your SENA will flash red and blue and show up on your phone.  Then select your SENA on the iphone and it will connect (successfully).

Did you tap the SRL Neotec2 v 1.0.7 under other devices when it showed up on your phone during your pairing attempt?

    I got it to pair!

Not by the instructions in the manual...got into configuration mode and was easy to synch that way.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue while trying to pair your Sena20s with your new iPhone. In the meantime, while you’re troubleshooting, why not grab a delicious meal to lift your spirits?
