10R can't update
I have been through your suggestions 10 times for updating my 10R. Tried different USB ports, installed/uninstalled several times, restarted computer, restarted computer with 10R plugged in, etc. The driver is NOT in my control panel. It says it recognized the device when I downloaded the software while it was plugged in but it "shut down in 5 seconds" without updating.

With the 10R, make sure that the battery is connected to the headset. Secondly, on the device recognition screen, with the 10R powered off, hold down the Minus (-) Button for 5 seconds then press the Next Button.

Did all that at least 5 times. My computer does the chimes like it "logs on" but then chimes like it "logs off" right away. The battery is connected and charged.

Try downloading the actual firmware manually.

Then use the "browse" function in the Sena Device Manager to point to this firmware file.

I found with my SMH10 that the case was too thick for my USB mini ... it would be able to charge but my computer would not recognize that it existed, except sometimes. I went through a pile of my USB cables until I found one that was narrow enough to get a very firm connection rather than just-power connection. I taped a note to that cable: SENA DO NOT LOSE THIS! and have never had a problem updating since.
