Using Siri on iPhone 4s with SMH-10?
Pressing the 'phone' button on the SMH-10 starts Siri properly, but the SMH-10 seems to broadcast enough background noise that Siri never stops listening (even when using the helmet indoors in the quiet). This means it's impossible to use Siri unless the user presses the iPhone 4s's "home" key to signal Siri to stop listening. (if you do that, then Siri works great)
Currently the only way around this is to turn off Siri and use the old-fashioned iPhone voice commands as they 'time out' even with high noise, but this is much less functional than Siri is.
Any chance of a firmware update that would remove some of that background / base-level noise so Siri would function well? Or is there another solution you could suggest? Thanks!

@Bob, that works for me too. I tried a quick puff but that didn't work. Blowing into the mic for 2 seconds does the trick for me! And I'm using the boom mic.

So that sounds like a good thing there but what if the mic does not pic up sound at all. I just did the firmwre update to 5.0 and still nothing. I use a 4S but for some reason it still doesn't work. It was after I installed the new IOS 7.1 that did maybe. not sure, gotta be something though. Any ideas?

Update your iPhone to iOS 9 as this update has improved the responsiveness of Siri for when you're speaking into the microphone on a Sena headset. Make sure to delete the 20S from the Bluetooth menu from before updating your iPhone and re-pair it back to it afterwards so that it doesn't cause any problems.

Hello.
I have the SMH10R and an iPhone 6 plus.
I am unable to bring up Siri using any of the buttons on the headset.
Tried everything. If I press the home button to bring up Siri, then it works fine, but I need a way to bring her up using the headset.
Any suggestions are very appreciated0 -
Armen, do you have password lock on? If so be sure to allow Siri to work when locked. But then you won't be able to do much with the phone locked as well. And to be sure, you are hitting the center Burton for three seconds? http://www.sena.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/UsersGuide_10R_v1.0_en_1508051.pdf 0 -
Sorry about the typo, I am using an iPhone coincidently. What I meant was did you try pressing the center button for three seconds? 0 -
Hi Lu, Thanks for replying so quickly.
I have tried pressing the SENA button for 3 seconds (the manual has it labeled as "voice command") but all I get is "intercom failed" or just a beep and nothing else.
Is there a step I'm missing?

P.S. The phone does not have a lock (a passcode). I've tried with the screen locked and unlocked. same result

Hi. I too am having pairing issues between my SMH10 and my Apple iPhone 6 plus. Worked perfectly before with my iPhone 5. I've also tried the suggestions listed above. Any other suggestions?

To optimize Siri's performance and reduce background noise, it's important to keep your device's firmware up to date. Regular firmware ( updates typically include enhancements and bug fixes that can improve Siri's functionality. To check for firmware updates and install the latest version:
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Scroll down and select General.
- Tap on Software Update.
If an update is available, follow the onscreen instructions to download and install it. Keeping your device updated can help ensure that Siri works efficiently and minimizes background noise interference. Minesweeper
