Can't get two way communication working

I can't seem to get two way communication going on my SMH10 set.  I've installed it into my and my wife's helmets and at first she could hear me talk, but I couldn't hear her.  As an experiment, I moved the "box" but not the microphone and headphones between helmets and then I was able to hear her talk but she can't hear me.

Obviously they're paired since they're communicating, but it's only one way. 

Suggestions/solutions?

  Hi Bob,

  First make sure that the volume on the one not hearing is turned all the way up. Turn the Jog dial clockwise several times (10x) or until you hear a beep. 

  Try to reset the unit. Insert a paper clip into the reset pin-hole (located in the back of the main module) and press the reset button for a second with light pressure.
