If this is a dual pack 20S, they are already paired from the factory. All you need to do is power on both 20S. Then press the Jog dial on one of the 20S to start intercom between the two.

Clear the pairing for both units then re-pair according to the instructions.  That should work for you.

How do you clear the pairing?

Ours were working great until this morning.  We got them for a 700 mile road trip we planned and left yesterday on. We had them for a month - no problem. Then after we got on the road again today it started having a problem.  I can hear my husband but he can't hear me.  I've turned them off and tried again to connect the intercom without success.  If I hold it down for 6 seconds, it will tell me "intercom pairing" and then it fails/times out.  Any ideas?

Cheryl - First delete all pairings on both units by holding the jog dials until you hear configuration menu.  Rotate jog dial until you hear delete all pairings.  Press the phone button and all pairings will be deleted.  Rotate jog dial until you hear exit configuration menu.  Hit phone button again and units will exit.

Next put both units in intercom pairing mode by pressing the jog dials for about 6 seconds until both units enter intercom pairing mode.  Once both units are in pairing mode, tap the jog dial of one and only one of the units.  Units will then pair within a few seconds or so.  To disconnect tap the jog dial.  To connect tap the jog dial.  Units will retain the pairing when you turn them off.  No need to pair them again.

Hope this helps.  If not, do a fault reset (pg 46)  then go through the pairing procedure again.

Also There are several youtube videos that can walk you through all of this plus the detailed instructions for the 20s are also posted online.

Thanks, Ken!  Your instructions worked.  The only problem now is there's a lot of static on the connection.  I'll see if I can find a video that might address this. I didn't have much luck with the online manuals because they don't offer troubleshooting guides which I find interesting.  Thanks again for taking your time to help me out.  At least we can talk now - just need to get rid of the static interference and we'll be good to go!
