Actually for the music cutting in an out issue, Sena recommended I raise the antenna.  I did and it works great now.  I only thought the antenna was needed to increase the distance for comms to another rider and not for bluetooth music to a device 12 inches away and so I didn't think to try that.

What audio multi-tasking? Just another joke feature like the FM radio. Both don't work at all. It was advertised as being able to listen to your music while the GPS gave instructions. Nup, not gunna happen.

I havent tried this yet, but I thought this was a supported feature and a reason I upgraded from the SMH10.. I want to listen to my music and have the GPS audio overlay when it comes on without cutting out the music. Doesnt this work?

Audio Multitasking is for having an intercom conversation while listening to stereo music, the FM radio, or GPS directions at the same time.

Thanks for the clarification. It would be good to have music playing and have the GPS mix with the audio as well rather than an intercom

Sena, my GPS takes priority over intercom, totally blanking it out whenever the Zumo has an alert, routing instructions, etc.  Sometimes, the intercom doesn't come back for an hour or more.    I have my Zumo paired as phone1, the only way I can get stereo audio from the XM radio and MP3.  Paired as phone2, the audio sounds horrible (and is also in monaural.

It's odd, because the music, XM radio, and audio books DOES multi-task with intercom . . .. a great feature.

    @Ken,

Phone 2 connection is a Monorual connection, I think as mentioned in the handbook. I see there is a version 1.2 firmware about to be released. The new manual was made available today. It contains a Audio Boost feature.  No details on whether it has other fixes included (I assume it will) .

Ken, there is a pairing method called GPS Pairing that will allow you to hear GPS directions while having an intercom conversation instead of interrupting the conversation. You will need to pair the 20S to your GPS again. Hold down the Jog Dial for 6 seconds, when you hear the voice prompt "intercom pairing" tap the phone button once to hear the voice prompt "Second Mobile Phone Pairing" then tap the phone button one more time to hear the voice prompt "GPS pairing". Then on your GPS, go through the steps of pairing your headset again.

The audio from the XM radio will sound the same, in mono, as if the 20S was paired using Second Mobile Phone Pairing.

Thank you, Sena.  I've tried both GPS pairings.  The audio, not only being in monaural, sounds very raspy and distorted paired that way.   If the volume is down very low, the raspy/distorted sound clears up.  But at normal listening levels, it's pretty bad.  When paired as phone 1, the XM and MP3 audio sounds fantastic (in addition to being stereo).  But then, every time the Zumo lady speaks or alerts, I lose Intercom; sometimes for long periods of time.  That isn't good.

@Ken  I bet this is a problem with the Zumo 660's implementation of BT. There has been lots of talk over the years at the BT implementation and bugs in the Zumo devices. (www.zumoforums.com have more information)

    Good afternoon, Brian.

My Zumo 665 has worked flawlessly with my Sena 10 for almost 2 years.   And it actually works very well with the Sena 20S.  But unfortunately, the priorities within the Sena put the Zumo as highest priority when the HFP is active (like for routing directions, weather alerts, "recalculating" and when the Zumo lady gets more chatty than she needs to be.  ;>).

There may be compatibility issues between the Zumo and Sena that are over my head, but from a user's standpoint, it seems like Sena priority could be user-selectable to allow for using the Zumo for everything but phone, paired as A2DP.

I've had my '665 since the first week they were released.  I'm very pleased with it (over the Garmin 550 I owned before it and the 2610 before that).   At first, the 665's had issues and user requests just like the Senas are suffering right now.   But for the past several years, I've been happy with the Zumo.  It's marriage to the Sena works well, 'cept for the Zumo's  HFP driving directions and alerts blanking out the Intercom.  (which I understand is by Sena design).

I just purchased a set of the 20S and so far fairly pleased. I am having an issue with the Multitasking when intercom is active and then trying to listen to FM radio. When radio is initiated the intercom then is a bit sporadic with its connection. The when I try to turn off the FM radio Sena responds with "FM off". It goes off  then Sena announces "FM on" and immediately turns it back on. I eventually have to turn of the Sena Unit and restart. So it seems I can either use intercom or listen to the radio but not both at the same time. I have upgraded to firmware version 1.3 and 'Multitasking' is on.

The FM radio seems to work great. The Stereo music connection with my Samsung is great. Phone connection is good. Zumo 660 connects. It's just the multitasking issue.

My Sena 20 music cuts in and out when intercom is on to another 10 or 20. Also coming from an iPhone 6.

There may be a valid reason for this.  It may be doing exactly what it's supposed to do.  We learned to set the sensitivity to 5 or 6 (using the iPhone app) so our breathing, coughing, or singing along with the music wouldn't trip the audio multitasking. At a sensitivity of 4 or less, it's almost impossible to accidentally trip the audio multitasking.  At a setting of 9, it trips with breathing.   At higher sensitivities, if anyone in our group made a noise, it'd turn the music off for 4 or 5 seconds.  Then it'd come back on.   We set them all at 6 and the music was not interrupted unless someone sneezed or coughed loudly or actually wanted to speak.

Ken, I don't think that is the case. When audio multitasking turns on, it dims the music. The issue, at least the one I'm having, it just has has super choppy music at full volume. My wife said she was singing so maybe that was causing it, so she stopped but I still had the issue. The REALLY weird part, when we would engage the intercom to talk, it would lower the volume of the music like it was supposed to, and then the music was perfect! I could hear it in the background and it wasn't choppy or anything at all. We had ours set at the 5 setting and had to say the first word to activate intercom really loud to get it to turn on, and we both have full face helmets with the chin vents closed. I think its more just a device issue, perhaps just mine as she didn't have the same problem I had.

Hi I have this problem as well, although my connection to the bike Audio is via an SM10. Basically one up, the system works perfectly, two up (with the antenna's up) the audio breaks up. Sensitivity is set at 3, Intercom works perfectly, Music breaks up as if there is a connection issue. I have the following set up: K1600GTL, Connection to Audio via a Autocom 2273 (which worked perfectly before when my Autocom com was connected) and then to a Sena SM10. BT connection of both 20s units via each channel of the SM10. SM10 is installed on the rear of the bike bewteen the side case and the top case. As I said, one up, music, phone etc is perfect. two up, Intercom perfect.music is breaks up constantly. Is this a set up issue or a potential fault?

I have a 20S paired with an iPhone 6plus and Garmin Zumo 390LM. Music from the iPhone comes over ok until my GPS breaks in to update directions. When the GPS is done the music never resumes. All firmware is current. What can be done to fix it? It always loses the iPhone music connection when GPS initiates.
