Originally the SMH5 came with smaller sized speakers than the SMH10 but are now currently being packaged with the same speakers as the SMH10. The speakers of the 20S are the same size as the SMH10, however the 20S has some audio software that provides more bass for listening to music.

So the speakers are physically identical between the three models, with only software differences distinguishing the 20S from the SMH10/SMH5?

The speakers of the 20S look differently than the SMH10/SMH5 but otherwise they have the same diameter and thickness.

I'm less concerned about physical appearance and more interested in the internals - can you confirm that the internals (driver unit) are the same between the 3 models?

I don't think you can really tell the difference in quality unless you're in a quiet environment. When you're out riding there's a lot of background noise to contend with.

So in essence, the speakers for the smh5 and the smh10 are the same correct?

I disagree, the SMH10U speakers are far worse than the SMH10, 10R or 20.

If the only difference is software based then why won't support answer the calls to sort the volume problems out???
