Firmware Update V1.0.1
I was prompted by my Phone when connected to the app to install the new firmware version (v1.0.1).
When trying to do so through the Sena device manager I get to the point where I download the firmware image and then it tries to install it, it gets to 13% and then shows me an error message in the Device manager that the firmware is corrupted & to try again.
I have downloaded the firmware several times BUT still have the same problem.
Thanks
Nigel

Just got a bit further - 22%. New error:
"Failed to update firmware. No SD card"
However there is a 64GB sd card present.

LOL
I had that error the first time I tried to install it...
So I formatted the card and then get the corrupt firmware error...0 -
Everyone attempting to update firmware should make sure of the following:
Have an SD card installed (no larger than 32gb)
Format the SD card using the 10c (turn on the 10c, hold the camera button for 8 seconds, use the jog dial to navigate to Format SD Card).
Turn off unit
Plug 10c into computer and run update per instructions

I tried using an 8GB sd card and now the firmware installed successfully.
Thanks!

As I said above, the firmware did successfully install. However, I have to comment on the fact the the camera can only support up to a 32GB video card. To me, that seems like a rather significant restriction. A video camera with 1080p/30fps capability should allow for much more than 32GB !

I've done the SD card format on a 32gb card and I get the same error message. "Failed to update firmware. No SD card" Might be a Sandisk thing

When updating the firmware on the 10C, make sure to use a 32GB microSD card or smaller.
If you have see the "Failed to update firmware. No SD card" error message then remove the main unit of the 10C from the clamp so that you can see the back of it. Press "Back" on the Sena Device Manager to go to the screen with the instructions on recognizing the 10C.
While the 10C is still plugged into the computer Insert a paper clip and press down on the reset button inside in the pin hole for 1-2 seconds on the back of the 10C in the upper left side. Pressing down on the reset button inside of the pin hole will perform a Fault Reset on the 10C.
Next, unplug the 10C from the computer for a brief moment.
Plug the 10C back into the computer and follow the instructions in order for the 10C to be recognized. Make sure to hold the Phone Button down for 5 seconds as stated by the instructions. Press the "Next" button to have the 10C recognized by the Sena Device Manager. You will be prompted that there is a new firmware update available. Press the "Yes" button. Select a location to save the 10C v1.0.1 firmware file to your computer then press the "Save" button. Your 10C will begin updating the firmware to v1.0.1.
Follow the orange prompts during the updating process to properly install the firmware.

What sd card are you all using? I have several sd cards by both Samsung and SanDisk. I've followed those steps and I still get the same error. I've gone from both the x64 and x86 version of the Device Manager. Still having problems. It fails out at 22-23% every time.

I've also tested with 32gb, 16gb, and 2gb cards with the same outcome

I'm using a 32gb Lexar Micro SD HC card

I updated the firmware with a 32GB lexar (I originally though it was a 8GB), but put the 64GB Sandisk back in afterwards.

Yay..finally got it to work..the pin in the fault reset did the trick

Still not working for me. Are you all using the usb cable that comes with the 10C to connect it to the computer?
0 -
No - I'm using a USB cable that I already had. I think it's one that came with my BlackBerry Z30...

Funny, I'm using the one that came with my Blackberry Z30 and it doesn't work, lol.. I've tried everything I know even on separate computers. Why do we need a SD card to be present in the device to begin with?

It recognizes fine, but it just will not find that SD Card.

Using Mac, Sena Device Manager recognizes the device. Tried the reset button as mentioned earlier. this error keeps happening with a 32GB MicroSD card from Samsung. Class 10, UHS-1 (read/write speed @ 30Mbps).
I'm not understanding why this is happening.

Btw, downloaded everything fresh from Sena, not some third party website.
This isn't looking good, esp. on day one with this new unit.
Other issues:
- Sits a bit wide on my modular helmets
- One side speaker sounds a bit lower than the other (tried repositioning it a few times already)
- No replaceable lens protection during use
- No 1080p 60fps
- No special app to review video on the go
- No ability to control Siri, S Voice, or Google Now nor does it have it's own voice recognition system (other than for answering calls, which means it should be capable... right?!)
- No accelerometer for instant video tagging in case of accidentI like:
- That it's waterproof
- That you can use it while it's being charged... but while you're got it on and you plug it in, there's no notification visually or audiably
- Universal Pairing (My friends have Scalas)0 -
I had issues on my Mac giving SD card issues; Windows 7 SP1 x64 worked fine.

We can share screens and I can see what's going on for you if you want. I work in IT.

What version of the Microsoft .Net Framework are you running, Taney? I could not find system requirements for the Sena Device Manager.

Brandon,
I'm not sure but all the Windows updates are done on that workstation. I don't have it on at the moment. Make sure the USB drivers are installed properly for the 10C in the device manager. That could be a problem.
Anyways, do you guys have issues with the camera? It only saves the first picture for me. I can snap 10 pictures; I hear the shutter sound and the lights blink; everything looks right but when I read the SD card or plug in to usb to read the SD card, I only see my first snap. =(0 -
Bryan,
I had no success on Mac. Borrow someone's Windows laptop or computer, it's fairly quick.0 -
I encountered the same issue and filed a help desk complaint, but it is still seating with no responses. My screen continues to say that the driver was corrupted to try again later. It just doesn't work. Customer service for Sena sucks!

If you want to do a team viewer session, I'll be happy to help you out. If it's driver, try to remove it from device manager and re-install the Sena app and skip obtaining drivers from Windows update.

I feel like Sena is aware of all the issues and is probably working on a firmware update because it seems like nobody has heard back from them in the last few days.
