We are supposed to release SMH10 v4 late next month. It includes parallel connection support with GPS Navigation. Basically, you can connect phone and GPS (or SR10) simultaneously with this new feature.

I agree with this. My iphone4 when directly connected to the SMH10 is great, really clear phone and music, plus functionality via the SMH10 controls. When the iphoen is connected via my Zumo 660 the phone clarity especially is very poor. Taking the Zumo out of the loop will greatly improve things!!  THANKS, nice to now you are continually improving, a lot of businesses seem to to ignore existing customers in favour of new ones, your attitude will pay off with referrals and recommendations, I'm sure.

Is there a date for this release or do I keep looking and hoping.

I tried to set this up over the weekend, and am apparently doing something wrong. I have the following setup:

    • Sena SMH10 (4.0)
    • iPhone 4
    • Zumo 550
I have the iPhone paired to the Sena, and have been using this for a while (though I did re-pair it after the 4.0 upgrade). So I try and pair the Zumo, as well -- so the iPhone should be holding the initial media and headset profiles (which is correct, as it's streaming audio and acting as a phone) and the 'second' headset profile (if I understand the release notes correctly) associated with the Zumo.

What happens is that the GPS connects and disconnects itself every 30s or so from the Zumo. Is this expected, or am I seeing some odd bug from the device combination?

Have you downloaded the new V4 instruction manual, it has changed fro the old manual. I'm not sure what is the difference between Case1 of Case Study22 (page 29 of new manual) and case study2. The Zumo 550 seems to be treated the same as the Zumo 660.   I have the 660. I paired the phone first and the got the paired message from the voice. Followed 6.3.1 to pair the Zumo and it worked just as described and said "multipoint pairing" and "heaset paired" as per the instructions. After that it seems to all work fine.

Are you getting the voice confirmation on pairing? I made the daft mistake of downloading the new firmware to the manager but not uploading it to the Zumo. Wasted an hour messing about before I realised what I had done.

Can I clarify the parallel phone and GPS (or SR10) comment please.

I have a TomTom Rider V2.   The suggests that I could not have separate connections to the SMH10 for my HTC HD2 phone and both the TTR and SR10.    I experienced the same poor call quality isues when the phone was piggy backed on the TTR.  I need the SR10 as I connect a 2-way radio to communicate with riding companions who do not have SENA equipment.   I would like to be able to hear audio directions from my TTR.

If this is not technically possible at the moment can it be considered for a future firmware upgrade please

    Thank you
