Automatic volume adjustment
Due to wind noise when I set the music to a comfortable volume level while moving, it's uncomfortably loud when stopped. This results in my constantly having to adjust the volume while riding, often difficult to to safely when changing speed...
This is further complicated by the unit keeping independent volume levels for each input. For example, I come to a stop light and turn my music down, now my buddy starts talking and the intercom volume is way too loud.
The unit should be monitoring background noise levels through the microphone and adjusting the speaker volume based on the the background noise level.

Thank you for your suggestion. We will do the feasibility of applying automatic volume control for SMH10 against environmental noise. We will keep you informed later.

Any news on this? The SMH10R doesn't appear to have this. My previous Cardo's have all had this and it's a necessity on the bike. My car audio has this feature too! 0 -
This would be a great feature. I am running the SMH5-FM.

The SMH5 doesn't do this either... would be easy if you have this tethered to a phone to use the accelerometer and/or gps to adjust the volume based on speed (kinda like how cars do it).

Either automatic volume control or voice commands that include volume control would be great. I think I'd rather have voice commands to control volume. "Sena volume UP" or "Sena volume Down"

Im running the SMH5 dual. Here in Austria we are allowed to drive up to 130kph and in Germany partly as fast as you want. Its quit hard and annoying to change the volume the whole time.

A new feature called Smart Volume Control has been added to the 20S in the v1.5 firmware. Smart Volume Control automatically changes the level of the speaker volume based on the level of the environmental noise. Please update the firmware on your 20S and refer to the User's Guide on the Sena website to use this new feature.
