    Actually this would be a good alternative to the suggestion I just submitted. Whatever approach is used, count me in as another interested customer.

    Love this - I have a Can-Am Spyder and the wiring harness from BRP provides switched power via USB so auto on/off via USB would be very useful.  I am having issues with the SM10 being a little flaky when it comes to attaching to my headsets and this may be a solution.  Maybe, hopefully!

    Four years!!!    In case anyone still follows this, Sena has finally announced a new version of the SM10 that addresses the power issue, called the Freewire. Looks just like the SM10. It says "coming soon" http://www.sena.com/product/freewire/#overview
