Battery Indication at Power-on
When you Power On the Sena S20 you get the Voice Prompt of a simple "Hello"
Could we add the addition of a Battery indication to that Power On Prompt?
So something like
"Hello - Battery level High"
"Hello - Battery level Low"
-
When you power on the 20S, you can count the number of flashes of the red LED to indicate the battery level. 4 flashes of the red LED is the maximum and indicates the battery is between 70%-100%. You can also activate the voice command system and give the voice command "check battery" and you will hear the voice prompt say "battery level is high (medium or low)".

That would mean that I power up the S20 "Before" I put on my helmet.
As a personal preference I put on my helmet, and once everything good, (Bike On, Garage open, Satellite Radio Powered up, and all that, Only then do I power on the S20. This is mainly due to the Size of the Unit (Not that I'm complaining mind you) But having it powered on "Before" I put on my helmet often leads to hitting a button or the Dial when pulling the Helmet on my head. Again that's me and my fat fingers, but it's a personal preference.... Hence the request for the Audible battery indication when the Unit Powers on.
As to the Voice Command, That I was unaware of. Still an extra step for the rider to have to go thru for something which is very important, (Battery level that is). Again not a complaint, but for "Most" battery powered things, (Phones, Tablets, Cameras etc...) Battery level is very important and is usually something which a user can 'easily' see / identify when the unit it first powered on.
Just my 0.02c worth....

When you power on, hold the buttons for a couple of seconds and you will hear the battery level voice prompt give you the current battery status in the speakers

Ken,
Thanks for that one. Not trying to be stubborn here, but again, IMHO, one should not have to go thru any extra steps to get a battery level indicator. Rather than having to Turn on the unit before you put on your helmet and count flashes, or press and hold buttons, or activating the Voice Commands, I think, and again this is just me, it would be a nice option, or feature to have the welcome prompt include the Power level as well as the "Hello". If it can be done with a 3 Second hold of the buttons at Power on, then why not just at the Power on without any extra steps?
Now that I am aware of the other options to get the unit to tell me it's power level, that's all fine and I have been making use of it. But as I said, and again it's a personal thing, it would be nice to have the Power Level "Indicator" or voice prompt every time I turn the unit on.

Yea, I hear you on that one but there are many folks who despise all the voice prompts for various features. After having used the product for many years now starting with the SMH10, voice prompts for me are mostly annoying.

Maybe an Option you can set in the Firmware? Personally I like the Voice Prompts as I don't have to fiddle around looking at this or that, count beeps or anything else.

Hey I agree with the first comment.... I would love for Sena to make it an optional programming - so that I could set my Sena to say the battery level when it turns on (without having to hold down the power button) ... Others may not want this so please make it an optional programming feature... !!!
