20s + SM10 + iphone 4s
I use an iPhone 4s for TomTom navigation and that is all it is used for. Other than GPS, it has no service. I use an SM10 to take the out put of a SiriusXm Onyx receiver and generate a Bluetooth signal through the SM10. I would like to hook up, via Bluetooth, the iPhone 4s AND the SM10 to my 20s. It seems either device works perfectly as "mobile phone number 1". Neither device wants to be "Mobile phone number 2". The SM10 never pairs as "mobile phone number 2" and the iPhone says its paired but the audio continues to come out of its internal speaker. Any thoughts? Is this possible? Thanks for any help.

Just like your SiriusXm Onyx receiver, the iPhone 4S only needs to be plugged into the SM10 and the SM10 needs to be paired to the 20S using Mobile Phone Pairing.

I have similar problems with SM10 and 20S.... I have an iPhone5, Garmin (BMW) GPS, and SM10 connected via stereo cable to my V1 radar. I want to use the iPhone5 as phone and play music, while getting the GPS turn-by-turn, and V1 alerts (via SM10). I pair the iPhone5 as mobile phone (1st one), Garmin as GPS pair, and SM10 as music-only (since it will not pair as mobile 2, not right profile). I can use phone and play iTunes just fine, but never get SM10 working. If I force SM10 to play, then music from iphone wont play. If I pair SM10 as 1st mobile phone, iPhone as 2nd mobile phone, and separate music, it behaves the same way. I'm tried so many combinations of parings at this point, that I'm about getting ready to throw away all my Sena gear and go somewhere else.

Hi Cbox,
SENA headsets can only connect to one A2DP (music source) profile at a time. Your iPhone and the SM10 uses the same AD2P profile to push music/audio to the 20S. So, if the phone is already connected and playing music, the SM10 will not connect (and vice versa).

Well darn, I interpreted things differently. I thought the 1st phone paring would do both HFP+A2DP, 2nd phone HFP-only, GPS (using GPS paring, HFP-only), and you still had separate HFP-only and A2DP-only pairings. So I assume the last two really take on HFP and A2DP slots employed by 1st mobile pairing, right? You've just killed the 20S for me then, bummer

Correct. You have a total of 2 HFP devices that can connect and 1 A2DP. If you employ the Mobile Phone Pairing for your iPhone (that's HFP + A2DP). You are now left with one HFP open which you could use for GPS or a second phone for phone calls only.

I feel your pain Felix... I have the same issues... and B.T.W Dean you may want to educate your co-worker Peter... This is what he told me... Peter, Apr 1, 9:26 AM:
Greetings Jim,
Thank you for using our product. Sorry about the confusion.
Yes, you technically can hard wire the phone and your Valentine 1 radar into the SM10 audio/auxiliary output jack to use full functionality of your calls and music.
Your SM10 comes equipped with two A2DP profile, so you don't need to hard wire your phone in, you can just use Bluetooth connectivity for that.
Which one of our SENA headsets are you currently using?
Try giving the SM10 and your SENA Headset a good Factory Reset to see if the problem still persists. Also, try deleting the pairings off your phone and repairing the devices again. We want to try to give it a fresh re-installation so we can fully diagnose the issue. I've attached some files for you to perform the resets.

If the SM10 came with two A2DP profiles we would not be having this conversation!...but I know its not Sena's falt, that just the nature of Blue-Tooth.
