hearing yourself in group intercom

Any ideas why I can / my partners hear themselves talk when they are in a group intercom? The first time I tried this, there wasn't this issue, but now it's happening.. I don't know if its a normal thing or not but it makes it hard to talk to each other.

  Shawn, is the issue that you hear yourself and you don't want to . . .. . or you cannot hear yourself and you DO want to? 

  Sidetone is an option in the 20S.  Some people want it ON; some people want it OFF. 

  I prefer ON.  Otherwise, I find myself yelling when I'm talking to others when actually normal voice is quite sufficient.  It makes it more like talking on the phone.  

  Check out the Configuration Options starting on page 41 of the manual, "Sidetone"

  You can also enable/disable the Sidetone feature if you have your 20S paired to a smartphone and have the 20S Smartphone App installed. Sidetone along with all of the other features are located in the Basic Settings menu.
