Christian, I'm sorry but your question is confusing.  Maybe you can explain your issue again in a different way so that we can understand the dilemma you're experiencing.

The ability to start talking between two 20S units is not one of the issues with the 20S.  If there are two 20S units paired with each other and either one of them pushes the jog button, intercom communication will be established between them.  Either party can talk and the other will hear.   This function works exactly as the manual describes.

Hello Ken and thank you for your answer, so, let me try to explain in another way...I bought the SENA 20S DUAL PACK, so i'm owning two units of the Sena S20. One is attached to my helmet, the other one to the helmet of my friend.

    Naturally they are paired together.

So, if i push the jog button on my unit, i start the intercom, and after a second we can talk each one to each other...everything ok

But if he pushes the jog button, nothing happens, so why can't he start the conversation? If we drive together, he cannot start the conversation on his own, i have to start it always.

Again, if i push the jog button on my unit i start the conversation

I he pushes the jog button on his unit nothing happens.

    Kindly regards

Got it, Christian.  I think I understand the question.

To begin a conversation, only one of you needs to push the jog button to connect the two units.  It can be either of you that initiates the connection with the pressing of the jog button.  The communication link will then be open for the two of you to talk to each other.  Either one of you can stop the communication link by pushing the jog button for 2 seconds as described in the User's Guide page 32.

When paired and one of you pushes the jog button, the communication link connection is open for both of you.      It stays open and either of you can talk to the other without the pushing of any more buttons.

    You got it nearly :-)

The problem is that one of those units is unable to open the communication link connection, so like you have one master unit and a slave unit....let me try to say in another words.....

Let's say, you and me we are driving together. We got our 2 Senna 20S paired together, i opened this communication link connection like you described, everything is well.

Then it's time for a break, we are going to have a coffee (or something else) and you turned your unit completely off, because you want to safe your batterie life.

I got my helmet on all the time (naturally it loses connection to your unit, as it is turned off, and after a while mine give's up to reconnect to yours)

So after the brake, i sit on my bike and i drive allong the road (my unit is still on, but we are not linked yet together. You switch on your unit and while still in my range it is going to be paired automatically to my unit.......so until this point, everything is OK!!! But no my problem's coming out: You try now to open the communication link connection while pressing the jog button, but it is not working!!!! You have to give me a sign, so i push this jog button on my unit, so we can talk again togehter...that's it...only one of the unit's can open this communication link, the other one not...and i think this is unusual!  We both have FW 1.4 installed in german language...and at this point i don't even wan't to complain about the voice commands, which are just horrible at this state! But that, in another thread ;-)...step by step!

If you speak german, let me know, probably it is easier to explain in german for me......sorry for any troubles....

    Thanks

    Kindly regards

I am having the same issues with my duel set. After taking a closer look, the bluetooth head unit does not fit tight enough on the base causing an interruption when the pins do not connect. I can manipulate the two pieces (wiggle them around) and they will eventually connect but once they move, they disconnect again. You should make sure they fit snug. If not, the issue could be the same as mine.

Christian, I too am having the same issue. Maybe that's why I understood your issue from the first explanation, but it really isn't that hard to understand. :)  Hopefully you were able to resolve the issue or swap yours out.  I was hoping this thread would have an answer to the issue... guess not.  That seems to be a common theme here on Sena's support site I've noticed looking around at other issues.

Well, i could'nt solve the problem, i went back to my store, and i sended it in. After a week, i got it back from the mainstore, telling me, they put a new firmware and it would work well.

I already estimated that this conclusion was absolutely bullshit, so i went to my store and i showed them what i meant. The man tried again and again to pair the duo set and starting conversation from A unit to B (worked) but could neither get it working from B unit to A unit. After approximately one hour of trying arround, they just exchanged to whole set. I now got a completely new set with a serial number starting with 15. It is realy amazing working now! Trust me, even the speach recognition is better! You still have to cry realy loud to take a call, but everything else is working like a charme!

And yet another thing....i startet a ticket a few days ago telling SENA to take more care about their customers! It is realy bad waiting so long for getting an answer, but in most cases as you noticed, there are even no statements from SENA side!

I hope you still can get your set exchanged.

    Take care!

please SENA this is not meant angry against you. I know my english is'nt that good, i just want you to take care about your customers.

Even if you get not yet a solution for the problem some users are writing, just write them back so they don't have the opinion you let them alone with their problem.

Your products are realy good, so let us help to improve them as good as possible!

    Kindly regards
