S20 with iPhone

Hi. I'm thinking of buying a Sena S20. I've seen some people refer to being able to listen to Pandora with an SMH10. My question is if I can listen to music using different iPhone apps on an S20 - I currently have an iPhone 5. For example, can I use the Spotify app? And can the S20 start/stop it? And by stop/start, I mean actually pause playing in the app (as opposed to just having the S20 mute the music and letting it keep playing). I'm assuming there's no way to have the S20 switch channels on it, which would probably be too complex to do while driving anyway. I also use the SiriusXM streaming app - can I listen to that with an S20? Thanks!

  Salam - any audio the iPhone puts out wiil play through the headset of any bluetooth unit that is paired with it.  You can control playback - forward to the next song or backward to the previous song with the 20s and the SMH10 and several of the other units they make.

  I would sure appreciate some specific details on your comments Ken, because as nice as the 20s is, I have been unable to stream Pandora specifically!

  First thing I would do is make sure your 20s has the most current firmware - 1.7.1.  Once upgraded I would do both a fault reset and a factory default reset.  Delete the bluetooth pairing for the 20s on your phone then re-pair the 20s to the phone by holding the phone button until you hear phone pairing.  Select the 20s 1.7.1 when it shows up on your phone.  Your phone should then pair with the 20s.

  You should be able to play music - iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, etc through the 20s when connected.

  I'm assuming Pandora plays when not connected to the 20s.  If it doesn't then there is a connection problem between Pandora and the phone.

  Where a lot of problems occur is not deleting the previous pairing from the phone when there is a firmware upgrade to the sena unit.  The sena will pair with the older pairing but it's functionality may not fully be integrated due to the older pairing being not fully compatible with the firmware change.

  Thanks, however...

  I have updated to the latest software, and re-paired the system to my iPhone 6.  Further, Pandora plays through all other systems.  The system will accept iTunes, but I don't like/use it, and yes, it will pick up the FM stations.  All other systems appear to function...just doesn't like Pandora.

  I'm having the same kind of problem with Waze directions. Everything else seems to work, just not Waze.

  Don't know what to tell you guys.  The apps that put out audio work fine for me.  I guess call CS.  It's strange that other audio apps work fine but the one's you mention don't.

  May Sena S20 has issues bluetoothing to my new iphone7 .It worked find on the iphone 5c . When it does find the Sena it doesn't want to connect and says the device it too far away. If it was any closer to the phone it would be inside it. Tried resetting device and phone & software update as well .Nothen is working.
