Audio Multitasking Issue
Does anyone know if you can get audio multitasking working in configuration #3 (Phone->GPS->20s)? I have my phone paired to my GPS and the GPS paired to the 20s as a phone (as per the instructions) as I need to be able to browse the phone book etc. and see Caller ID due to being on call for work.
In this configuration the audio multi-tasking doesn't seem to work and the intercom cuts off whenever the GPS speaks (tried Zumo 660 and 590). However, a handful of times (maybe 10) I have had the intercom remain connected and the GPS directions play in the background but this seems to be at random and more of a fluke.
I'd really like to have the option of getting this configuration working as I have described above. It is the sole reason I upgraded to the 20s as the marketing advertised the intercom working without being cut off by the GPS directions. There was no mention when I purchased that this wasn't the case if the GPS was paired to allow phone control. Had I have known this I'd have stayed with the much more reliable SMH10 (which also didn't shut off at random like my 20s).
Thanks

Dae, this is the "priorities" issue that we're all complaining about. Welcome to the club.

The Zumo will always blank out your intercom operation with the 20S. When the Zumo lady speaks, or when the Zumo alerts, beeps, powers ON, or when you push a button; you will lose the intercom ability for the duration of any of these plus about 3 seconds. Not being able to audio-multitask the Zumo when connected as the phone is a major disappointment in the operation of the 20S. There are over 2 pages of comments on this issue alone.
One work-around is to mute the Zumo so that it doesn't beep or give driving directions. I've had to resort to this because the Zumo interrupts intercom so much that it is impossible to communicate with others in my group. Sometimes, the Zumo takes priority and intercom never comes back; requiring a power reset.

My apologies - I'd not spotted the priorities thread. Yes, usually Mrs Zumo interrupts just as you need the intercom the most. It's frustrating when you buy a device because it's advertised to do something and then you find out that it actually can't do it. I posted on Sena' Facebook page but got the blanket "if you pair as per the instructions it will work", which is no use to anyone as it quite clearly doesn't.
Combined with the random shutdowns that my wife is experiencing with her 20s I'm extremely disappointed with the product. Such a shame as I moved from the troublesome Scala range (G4/G9) to the SMH10 and was very impressed with the exception of the Zumo interrupting the intercom (but accepted it as no devices did multitasking then). Then when the 20s was announced to do multitasking I thought all my dreams were answered and went out and bought a pair. I'm really regretting that decision and seriously considering selling them and moving on. Sena obviously don't care about their customers or the quality of their products given their lack of response. Such a contrast to the SMH10 experience it's like dealing with another manufacturer!
