    Hello,

That is rather strange, but usually when the helmet is plugged into the magnet charging cable, it automatically resets the Wi-Fi adapter on the Impulse by default and per standard process. So, that is normal.

Although I created a ticket for you so we can figure things out further, please be prepared to provide an image of your Impulse serial number. It should be on the underside of your helmet or inside on the liner. A copy of the receipt would be helpful as well.

Please note: devices purchased before 6/20/2022 are out of warranty now, as today is the last day for warranty. For Harmon Kardon enabled devices, the warranty ends on 6/20/2025.

And I understand to update the firmware, but you can't do even that without a connection first! The app is active on my phone, but of course the app is brain dead without the prior BT connection.

Okay, so it said it was fully charged, but I (trying everything) decided to put the charger back on the helmet and bamm, she will now show it's visible to pair with. I successfully paired, went into the app and it showed the helmet connected, I could add FM stations and so forth.

I could however not connect the wifi so a firmware could be accomplished. But this is much better. It fails to WiFi connect however for firmware update. I can find the helmets wifi once the charging cable is connected, then I load up the app, it asks to communicate with the normal wifi and I select that, put in password and it stalls and eventually says it fails to connect. So still need help with that.

I think to update firmware via WiFi, you have to disable "Auto logo on" for the (maybe both) the Sena Impulse Wifi, and then the Home Wifi ? Or is it just one that needs to have auto logon turned off?. I have a hi-end "Netgear Orbi Mesh" Wifi system which transmits/receives (uses)  2GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz, this is automatic and will log onto whatever is capable of the requester. I also have an exclusive 2GHz IoT that I can force the log on to as well.

If you have clear step by steps of this process it will help. The user manual is not good on this subject.  I appreciate and Thank you for your help! I don't wanna send this back if I can get it working 100%. PS; I have the BT connecting to my iPhone 12 Pro Max now. And yes, strange w the USB magnetic cable as the fix, sorta... I think the charging or recharging reset something. Yes, once the cable is connected, BT shuts off and it goes into WiFi, but before I re-charged the headset, my iPhone could not see the BT signal from the Sena. After the (re)charge all of a sudden when unhooking the cable, my iPhone all of a sudden could see the Sena in the BT listing.
