You mentioned mountain biking, would the Bluetooth setup they have for cycling work for you, it doesn't look like it's very "Hard Wired" so to speak, like the sph10 unit for example. Now for motorcycles, I know for a fact, like the 20s or 30k can do exactly what you just asked. I have 3 helmets, one is my sena 20s and one is my girlfriends sena 20s. I have her speakers wired into the helmet. Now mine, I don't because I had custom ear-molds done at a audiologist, and there is a jack or plug in on the front of the sena 20s or 30k base that I plug my earplugs in each time I am ready to go.

Thanks for commenting Russ.  I looked up the sph10 as you suggested but unfortunately it is too bulky and the mounting system around the head wont sustain the rough terrain with mountain biking and it won't fit inside a full face downnhil MTB bike helmet without having to remove or modify the protection which the helmet is built around.  I have since talked with a Sena representative who told me Bluetooth cellphone earbuds won't work with the sena.  Cellular phone ear piece can be "hard wired" but the microphone on the earpiece wont work.  I opted for a different system altogether and investigating further with a 2 way radio and Bluetooth headphone and throat mike.  This system will be totally portable and transferable to many other applications without ever having to play with hard wires or having to mount anything to a helmet.
