Firmware Upgrade - R1 and Windows 10
Description of issue: Sena Device Manager is not recognizing USB port to which the Sena helmet is connected. I tried two different ports on the first computer and now trying another two on a second computer.
First, Sena really needs to certify the driver with Microsoft.
If that is too much work or time, then SENA somewhere on their website, needs to place a reference to disabling W10 requirement for certification - and be sure it is searchable!!!!
As I stated days ago, If Sena is not able to take the step to certify their software for Microsoft (which is just being lazy), then they should have the disabling process front and center as the possible fix for W10 and this error.

I have this issue now! Did you find a fix?
So many issues with my helmets that I was hoping the firmware would fix them.

Robert. Are you using the special cable that came with the helmet? A standard USB cable will not allow the upgrade. The cable with the 90 degree turn is special somehow and allows the upgrade I

And check the weather for how to disable device certification checking.
Email me if you need more help.

I finally got it thanks to the people on the forum. Unbelievable.
Thank you.

I have both the 30K headset and the Extend Half Helmet headset. I was able to get the 30K to update fine but using the same computer, same USB, same Device Manager, could not get the Extend Half Helmet to cooperate.
