The Sena +Mesh connects to other Sena devices as a bluetooth intercom. If it were modified to allow universal intercom pairing other brands could connect to it and join the Sena open mesh.  Sena could sell this to people with other brands as well as Sena loyalists who wish to ride with people with other systems.  Slogan "Ride with Everyone!"
