Picks up background sound always. How can I get the background sound to go silent when not talking ?

  That’s pretty normal with most helmet comm systems since they don’t fully “mute” background noise unless voice activation is tuned correctly. Try lowering the microphone sensitivity in the app and adjust the VOX/voice activation level if your unit has it. Also make sure the mic is positioned correctly inside the helmet and not too close to vents. In many cases, turning down ambient audio mix for undertale or enabling noise suppression (if available) helps a lot with keeping background sound quieter when you’re not speaking.
