Had the same problem with ours. We solved the issue by moving to the Cardo Edge. They work perfect in MESH at speed, even with a open face helmet. If I knew then what I know now……

I have the same exact problem. Plus, snap, crackle and popping sounds, and garbled BT audio when they do connect. Just submitted a support ticket. We'll see.....
